At the frontier of technology,
humanity is the experiment
I build because the future I want to live in doesn't exist yet

Hey, I'm Titus
I’m a scientist, strategist, operator, and storyteller working at the frontier of technology, where humanity itself is the experiment. My career has taken me from the Pentagon to Silicon Valley, from advising Congress on biotechnology and AI to building startups and leading R&D in deep tech. At every step, I’m driven by one question: how do we shape a future worth living in?
Through fiction, I explore the ethical frontiers of biotechnology and artificial intelligence. Through policy, I help set the guardrails for how these technologies evolve. Through the organizations I build, I create the tools to turn possibility into reality.
When I’m not writing novels or leading teams, you’ll find me chasing big adventures—from cycling across Alaska to summiting mountains—with the same spirit I bring to my work: bold ideas, lived fully.

Now, she must navigate a world ravaged by a genetically-modified fungus, the mistrust of her fellow colonists, and the terrifying realization that humanity's last hope may be its greatest threat.

What Readers Are Saying
Early readers and critics share their thoughts on Synthetic Eden
"I’ve been working in S&T/bio policy for a good while and so in my mind I’d already been contemplating the big questions… but reading this still led me to surprise myself with opinions and beliefs I didn’t fully realize I had, or rather hadn’t fully let myself think about. Really important, and also totally engrossing!"

"I don't usually read science fiction, but I couldn't put it down. The story was gripping - and the women! The characters are strong, complicated, and so so human."
